Lou’s journey is one of resilience, grit, and transformation. Born in Cuba, he immigrated to the U.S. via Spain as a young child, carrying with him the lessons of perseverance instilled by his hardworking mother. A college football scholarship paved the way to an MBA, launching a career where he rapidly rose to key leadership roles at a Fortune 500 staffing and consulting firm.

In 2001, Lou founded Cornerstone, a leadership coaching and consulting firm that helps executives lead with confidence, navigate complexity, and build high-performing teams. He works alongside founders and senior leaders, guiding them through tough decisions, leadership transitions, and organizational challenges. His approach blends real-world business acumen with deep emotional intelligence—helping clients gain clarity, make smarter choices, and lead with impact.

Over the years, Lou has built and scaled businesses across industries. He launched a $300M payments company, led a multimillion-dollar commercial real estate project, and built a portfolio of successful ventures—including co-owning 10 Papa John’s stores. His experience isn’t just theoretical; he’s been in the trenches, solving real problems, leading teams, and making the tough calls.
